I say whatever style works in your space, as long as we can see your full body (and have seen a closeup of your face somewhere in your audition)
For most projects, all files joined together is easiest on us, but some shows prefer it all separated out (we’ll usually specify if that’s the case).
If it’s joined, tail slate ALWAYS – it’s mostly for casting anyhow, and you want the first impression directors/producers/etc. have of you to be you in character. They often have limited attention spans, and if they only focus for 30 seconds of your audition, you want most of that to be your acting, not your slate.
For takes, if it’s a large role (many, many pages), one is usually fine. For an actor role, give us a few options – it shows directability, and it’s often hard to know exactly what tone they want from your limited sides context.
